help me pick another cam
i don't see that i gained anything from it on the track or dyno. i have only seen drawbacks like low speed driveability and mileage
my 9 sec. pass was with my stock 98 cam. i think i still have that around somewhere but i'm kinda afraid to take that big of a step back.
i know that lingenfelter comes up with some really trick cams for the turbo stuff.. something in that 'style' sounds up my alley.
toss up some idears.. also if you wanna give an offer on my current cam

here is what i need the cam to work with
pte88, 6 speed, 366ci, cleaned up all pro heads, i will need to wind it out around 6500 to get through the traps and i don't want the cam to kill peak hp...but if it kills torque well i wouldn't mind that at all as long as it was in trade for horsepower.
thanks.
Im assuming you've already consulted W2W?
Eric at HPE picked mine out, I have the specs at home, however my motor is a 347
Any word on your short block yet? Can you have W2W post up the pics ?
if you want those specs let me know Ill get em for ya

i dont think wheel has received the motor yet.

you probably need just to bump down the duration and lift.
not sure how your car drives but you should use that as a reference. (im not sure how that cam reacts with your 370 cubes.
maybe a 228/224-115 with a .581 lift.
not sure how tame that will be.
I'd like to see someone try something along the lines of a 112-113 lsa....I would have but I was afraid it would lope. I had a 231/226 115 cam before this one....I basically got what you said, less mileage and low rpm torque.
jerry, something i see in common with the zo6 cam and all of lpe's turbo cams is BIG lobe sep, 117-120* i dunno how you can go against what they do and think 112 is the right direction to go... but im not smaat mayun.
ya my nine was stock cam, stock cid, 19psi & gt80-r turbo
How much is enough ?? I'd have thought the only downside to having a lot of lift, is valvetrain reliability ?
