ATI Superchargers in Texas
http://www.procharger.com/intercooled.html
I was looking at this page and it seems as long as you keep the temps low then it would be alright to run around 12 PSI as long as you don't rag on your car witch i don't...
Do you think there are enough things to do to keep a 2001 camaro SS blk.blk m6 and make it last 100,000 miles i mean how much tuning does it take to keep these things running proper, if you did things right the first time it should stay running well, right ??
I don't know this webpage makes it sound really well but everyone i talk to in person tells me that SC's are not worth it. But i will not be taking my car to the track, might take it once just to see what it will run but might not even take it once. I just want to be able to have all kinds of power for everyday driving.

Umm, I think you are abso-freakin-lutely fooling yourself if you think anything over 4 psi is 'maintenance free'. You're going to break stuff. Plan on it.
12 psi? You're going to break a WHOLE LOTTA STUFF. Unless you have LS1_Edit and a high octane barrel in your back yard.
Especially living in Pearland. Gets pretty darn hot & humid down there in the summer... you're looking at some serious potential detonation.
This isn't to say an SC isn't the right thing to do. I plan on one this year. But I also plan on breaking stuff. And LS1_edit so I can run different timing maps for different fuels.
I think you'd run in to serious problems at 12 psi and a stock motor. But a blower is definitely a good mod - if set up right. Fuel system is critical. Tuning is critical. Maintenance is critical (cooling system, ignition system, etc). It definitely requires some care and feeding.
Unless you get a 4.5 psi Powerdyne, then you can probably go maintenance free...

Ok I'll chime in here.
The ATI procharger is AWESOME. I live in the houston area and i plan on running a stage III (it sittin in my garage) and I will be fine and so will you. BUT do not go over 9 psi on a stock bottomend or you will see head gaskets blow, pistons fly, and heads lift. Maybe all at the same time.
