Default Boost limit for Al block?

Providing you lower the compression and keep enough fuel supplied to prevent detonation, is there a boost limit that the Al blocks can hold before you have to switch to an iron block?
Thanks!
Matt

I honestly don't know the answer to this question. I know there are people here that can probably help out though.

still got the 35's for now.

I think when the time comes, i may skip the 37's and have them rebuilt elsewhere. So i know exactly what i got.

completely stock internals on the motor. Bottom end, heads, and cam

10.9 run was on the old intake, dyno numbers on the new intake. No track numbers w/ the new intake

Harlan-
How have you been able to run that much boost at 10:1 compression? LOTS of Octane???

I think the question is more power/cylinder pressure than actual boost in the manifold. We have already made 800+rwhp with a re-sleeved aluminum block (custom studs and gaskets) with no signs of failure and know there is more to go. With the right tunning and combo I think that 15+ psi can be attained with the incon or D-1 style charger, the block itself is not the problem but other things like fasteners and gaskets come into play.

I know we have seen around 18psi on the dyno and that was were the issues started to occur. <img src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" border="0" alt="[barf]" />

Still working on the problem and progressing a bit at a time! Some new tech. coming out soon.
