Default Question on best Daily Diver, Bolt on,Turbo, or SC

Hey guys,

I was just wondering what would be best for a daily driver, and which one would have the better fuel econeomy not that it would matter a whole lot. Let me know which one would be best for driving around town: 382 stroker, H/C, turbo, or supercharged. I'm getting my airforce bonus in a little over a year and I want to know which way to go. I'm looking for 450rwhp up to 500rwhp

I think the 382 Stroker would be best.
Once it's built, you won't have any "boost" issues or any of the small problems that pop up with forced induction. Whereas the F/I may make more power when tuned right, but if the car's a daily driver, you may not WANT to have to tinker with tuning and different octane, etc.
With a 382 its basically done and over with once it's in the car.

New 382 strokers are making around 450rwhp.
Depending on how radical you want to go, you can expect power to be a little more (with a bigger cam of course)

Thanx that sounds like a good idea, but I might go turbo since they aren't really putting out any boost untill you get on it. What are some of you Turbo people getting for Gas mileage anyway? Is it reasonable if your not on the gas?

I would say turbo's are the way to go for best driveablilty. If they are tuned right (stock motor's dont take to det); you should upgrade intank fuel pump and injectors.

So far I still need the timing curve tweaked a bit, and then I can lean it out some. and hopefully get to 490-500 on a mustang dyno and 93 octane gas.

6.5psi on a mustang dyno made 460-470 at 12.5:1 AF; 440 at 11:1.

Just had it on a dynojet. After sitting all winter I only get 6psi now (actuator springs may be getting a bit weak) and made 470 rwhp 488 tq. 11.5-11.0:1 AF

Drove it back and forth to texas from michigan 1100 miles each way. Running the air all the way got 20.98 (before leaving), 24.87, 24.85, and 26.37 miles per gallon. 6 speed car.

weighs 3780 with driver and 3/4 tank of gas. runs pretty consistant 12.0-12.2's at 118-121 2.05 60's on nitto's. best mph has been 123.

all I could have asked for really. now I'm fixing the traction issue's with a 12 bolt, 3.73's, hal suspention and et streets. hoping for 11.5's or so.

Thanx for the info on the MPG, my wife was happy to hear that it won't cost an arm and a let to cruise around once in awhile without getting on it.
