Sounds to me like GWP is having cash flow problems. BlackLS1TA and anyone else, I'd be concerned with any large deposits you have on account with them.

I see no reason for such large deposits up front. It's the sign of a business with problems. When it goes nuclear SOMEONE is gonna get screwed.

Find a vendor that can deliver within 60 days and takes less than a 50% deposit. Make payments by credit card.

While they may not go under, this type of ponzi scheme business practice smacks of John Hennessey.

Black LS1 T/A you must be on GWP payroll! I got my stage 2 kit from them and it was a fuc*ing horrible experience. They LIE! Do not tell a customer that their product was delivered when you know it hasn't. Those guys need to take some buisness classes and work on their customer relations!

Golden West Performance Stage II ATI Procharger
486 RWHP / 487 RWTQ and 10.98 @ 125.83 MPH (Stock Internals

I think Blackls1ta's #'s speak for themselves!

no need to start flames here or knock Blackls1 because of his knowledge of the ati or talking up GWP!!! Hell if any of us got those #'s with just those mods I am sure we'd be happy and talking up GWP! I have talked to Jason and basically he knew I wasn't ready to buy yet, but STILL he talked to me over 10 minutes with alot of helpful info! I WILL be ordering the GWP stage 2...

It seems that almost everyone that has ordered a kit from GWP has been mislead as to when they would recieve it. They should practice honesty and not tell people it has been shipped when they know damn well it wasnt. I dont know about your problems with the install, but when I installed mine I didnt have any instructions. It really wasnt that hard, but I could understand how someone could do the install wrong without them. I like my kit now, but I would take a different route if I had to do it again.

TheBeet, so... I stayed out of you guy's little tif and you are spoiling for a fight so you came on here from another board to make it all about me? Well, you little one-post troll $hit, let's talk about you!

Your first credit card payment didn't go thru, so that hung you up for two dam weeks! Then you tried spreading your purchase across three or four different credit cards, one of which STILL bounced!

After THAT crap was straightened out and you got your kit, you screwed up your install... had the spacers and brackets all f'd up. On top of that you tried to run your kit without having a Fuel Pressure guage installed. You deserve to have blown your $hit up!

THEN, because GWP wouldn't come hold your little hand and you couldn't install your stuff right, you whine and complain. You should have gotten somebody else to install it because you are a no-mechanic'ing $hit-for-brains!

Don't get all $hit-faced with me because you are too much of a simpleton to follow directions. You think you know everything and that's what got you in deep kimchee now!

Then you have the NERVE to come step in MY $hit. Boy, I'll come down there and wring your pimply neck!

Go cry to your momma, 'cause I ain't hearin' it.

Or... grow UP! THEN come talk to people like your momma TAUGHT you some manners. THEN I'll talk to you like you are a man instead of the immature, pansy-a$$ brat that you have shown yourself to be!

**** ant!

Black LS1 T/A , I hope all that bullsh*t wasn't directed to me .I paid in full the day I ordered. My blower was dropshipped directly from ATI in 2 weeks ( they have their sh*t together).I had no problems with the install! I bought a GWP Stage 2 kit and their blower cam. I dynoed 553RWHP and 503RWT .FUC*ING kick *** I think! The car idles perfect.I always said they know what the hell their doing but their customer service and constant lieing was bullsh*t! If I had it to do all over again I would purchase the blower from ATI and buy all the other pieces myself ,which you can do very easily. I would have contacted ED WRIGHT for the programming (great guy). All this bullsh*t could have been avoided by simply being upfront and honest. TheBeet, I made up everything I said. It was all lies.

I don't know you from Adam.

But, I'm trying to make a point... you don't know me, either. Don't tell me I'm on ANYBODY'S payroll because I don't whine and complain on a public board about how long it takes me to get my kit.

Thanks to GWP you have a kit that produces TWICE the horsepower the base ATI kit will produce! Do you realize how long people work to get something like that?

I've responded to posts by you on the other board and tried to helpfully answer questions you posed. (The same for anybody else.) I don't appreciate being dis'd or lied upon by you or anybody!

The tongue (or word) has ruined more people than you know. The rumors and lies some people spread on this board hurt people. I don't like contention, but I don't normally take attacks lying down, either.

So ATI sent their piece out in two weeks. Cool. They manufacture the kit, and it is in demand enough that they can roll on them. I like ATI, too... I bought one. What you guys don't know or don't understand is that programming has gone to $hit and GWP, and others (including ATI, who apparently saw their FMU solution is quesitonable) have had to change their MO to get upgraded kits done. That doesn't mean GWP is going bankrupt or that they are stealing your money. Not too long ago, they announced they were changing their tuning to use LS1-Edit and customize their Stage II tunes themselves, so they could get their kits out in a more timely manner. They are doing the best they can, and people with 500+ horsepower machines (thanks to them) come on a board, and instead of ranting and raving about what excellent work these guys do, all they have to say is maligning and derogatory comments.

Go figure.

I've responded to people with my opinion about GWP and why components can get delayed, and they STILL can't accept that. Then so be it. I grew weary of offering another perspective and didn't respond to you guys whine-fest.

But, you went out of your way to register on this board to call me by name (who had NOTHING to do with getting you a kit) on an old-a$$ thread to stir up some $hit.

If you can't see what's rong with that, then fine. Just set your sights on somebody else besides me.

Have a nice day.

Did I get it?

I've also said if if that is your experience with them, that's not good. Did I get it?

Now let's see if you get me.

1. Don't lie on me. It makes me think you lie about them, too, especially when the behavior you quote is incomprehensible to me.

2. Don't knock me because I tout the good experience I have had. Don't knock me because I've been willing to deal with delays to get what I want.

Most of what I've seen seems to be impatience on the part of guys nagging them about when the stuff will ship. I'm not saying someone is screwed up to do that.. It's easy to do. I did it. But, I had the sense to know they don't always have control of when every part or the tuning was ready.

My buddy and I could have built my motor to a 382 by now. I'm sure I'd be having much fun. But, at this point, I've chosen to wait on what is pretty much and R&D project. Talk about a stretch of patience...

I've tried to help every person that might benefit from my experience. I've had guys drive up for me to look at their stuff when they had a problem (wasn't Procharger related).

I don't think I deserve grief from anybody because I see a different side than them. These guys aren't trying to rip you off. And it has been my experience that they spend time with you (if you're not out on a board trashing them... heck even WHEN they've been trashed by some people) helping you get your stuff right.

Yes, in the current market, it takes time to get the right fueling components and programming. Somebody mentioned Ed Wright. Well, I've heard of people sending back for a tune MANY times before their stuff was right.

But this is the bottom line:

1. Did they deliver on their promise of greater performance above and beyond what the base kit would deliver? (You are the only one who I've heard say it didn't. There are plenty here with claims of more horsepower than my measley 486 RWHP. Mind you, I don't believe expecting it to perform to potential on the first tune is a reasonable expectation.)

I've acknowledged your points. (I can't say I've had your experience.) Now, can you acknowledge mine?

If you respond to this post with any questions, I will be out of town this weekend, so I may not be able to get to the internet much until Monday. So don't think I'm ignoring ya.

Have a good 4th of July weekend.

Quick question: I know GWP has not been that good with delivery thats fine, I dont care. My question is im buying my kit else where, just my preference. Is there like a part number for the 3.20 pulley, I called ATI and told her that I was looking for the 10lbs pulley 8 with headers, she said there is no part number. Engineering would have to spec one out for you. Dont know whats up with that but, any help would be cool.
