Default Alternatives to Vortech Programmer

As many of you might know, I'm selling an LS1 Vortech / Aftercooler kit - I do not have the coupon for the programmer or programming that comes with brand new kits.

How mandatory is it that the Vortech tuning be used? Couldn't LS1Edit take the place of that or even a good dyno tune?

I've heard mixed answers on this - anyone know?

Or how about this - anyone running a Vortech blower and did NOT use the handheld programmer?

Either used some sort of dyno tune or even stock computer?

I have the Vortech kit and did not use their tune. I went with a custom tune. My car made 315 RWHP / 330 RWTQ before, and 485 RWHP / 460 RWTQ after. After was the Vortech kit, SLP LT headers with cats, LS6 intake and the tune.

FWIW and YMMV.

Jason,

It was BV Performance here in the Chicago area. Brian did it at Speed Inc., on their dyno.

Jhelms, I have an Ed wright tuned pcm....from a 2000 m6. It was tuned for my turbo.....I think all he did was set it up for 38# injectors and 24 degrees of total timing. I could sell it to you if you are interested. Has all codes...egr/air

Cool, there is a guy in GA buying my blower - I just wanted to make sure he had some programming options.
