I just installed an Autometer AUM 4363 Electronic Fuel Pressure Gauge and have a couple of questions. When I shut the car off the needle goes to 100 psi instead of 0 psi as expected. Is it supposed to do this? Also when the car is running I am seing about 60 PSIg. Does this sound correct for a supercharged car? I double checked all of the wiring and it is wired properly. I also have a good ground.
Thanks,
Clint

Good thought But I did check that last night. I also know that when I remove the power wire or the ground wire from the module the needle still stays at 100 PSI. Thanks

- Ignition off... 0 PSI.
- Ignition on, car not running... Max PSI reading (100 for most.)
(I believe this is like a systrem check for the guage. You can consider it working normally for use.)
- Car cranked... 55-60 PSI displayed for most LS1's that are supposed to be showing the stock fuel pressure is correct. I believe 58 PSI is the quoted amount.
Have fun!

Thanks for all of the help. I just spoke with Autometer and tech support gave me the same answers as you all have. They even explained why the needle goes to 100 PSI when the car is turned off. It turns out that this gauge is run by an electromagnet and when no power is applied to it, the needle will fall to rest at the nearst location. Since 60 PSI is the operating fuel pressure (which is over halfway on the gauge), the needle falls over to 100 PSI.
Thanks for the input.

yea i thought mine was wacked up when it did the same thing, but then i turned to the DIRECTIONS
which clearly states on the top line that it is normal for the needle to not be at 0 when the car is off.
