Default Count down to fire it up

Well, the details are getting straightened out.

I got half the intercooler fabbed up tonight <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

sucker's HUGE <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

http://www.harlan-engineering.com/eviltwin/FMIC/

<img src="http://harlan-engineering.com/eviltwin/FMIC/108-0832_IMG.JPG" alt=" - " />

Got the fan mounts on the 2 core radiator, the lower relocation mounts for the radiator are in store for tomorrow. Along with a little surgery curtesy of the plasma cutter. The upper rail where the hood latch mounts needs a bit of persuation to clear the intercooler <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" />

Finally got my 96# injectors and the fuel rail mounts are being fabbed next week.

Finished up the final welding on the fuel tank, and it's off to the powder coater on monday.

All I have left is to run the fuel lines, oil lines, and new brake lines.

Then it's time to fire the bitch up <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Wow, I took out my front bumper support and was thinking that would be a easy place for intercoolers. Cant wiat to here how it turns out. Why are you going to use 96# injectors?

I want no fuel system issues, thus the 96's

96*8*0.8/0.6 = 1024HP <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> that's a very conservative number on duty cycle and BSFC.

Damn Matt,

That looks sweet! I can't wait to see your car's #s when it is up and running.

I am following your story pretty closely...if your setup lasts I may just put a motor together!

How are you planning on keeping the heads on?
Have you studded everything?
Are you going to weld the heads to the block <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Looking forward to hearing the new numbers!!
Cheers,
Chris

with that big of injectors do you think you'll have a problem driving the car day to day? or is that not a concern.

Chris

Yes, the block has been studded. No O-rings yet, we'll wait until i get to that point.

The pump is the big dog Aeromotive, silver pro-series pump and regulator.

-12 in and out, but only running -10 feed and return. sumped tank with dual -8 pickups. pump should flow in excess of 150 gph at 43 psi.

I'm not too concerned w/ the sizing of the injectors on a daily basis. I don't really an issue with it. But then again, i'm running solid motor mounts, and rod ends on all the suspension points. and only 5-point belts. Sure, it's a street car <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

While looking through the various pics in the parent dir for your intercooler I stumbled upon this one called Port Inspector. Made me chuckle.

Harlan,
with that large of a injector, what are you using for a computer? Are you planning using one of the F.A.S.T. systems? I believe you have posted the factory computer can only handle 70 lbs of air. Whats your trick?
