A new project
Rough calcs.
A 1000hp engine will need 550#hr of fuel to run at wot(1000hp). 10 gallons of C-16 is about 80 pounds. We will be burning about 9 pounds a minute at wot. That gives us almost 9 minutes of full throttle operation before the C-16 tank needs refilling. On power tour a 5 second burst of WOT could get you a 4 digit ticket! With a 10 second ET we could make about 50 1/4 mile runs on one C-16 tankfull.

Just kidding with ya anyhow, I think its a great idea, at 300hp you could probably run 87 pump and still be plenty safe.
I mean, that would be adding C16 every time you go past 5% throttle on a 402
Baseline dyno numbers as of a few minutes ago.
RWHP 88 !!!!!!!!!
1/4 mile ET test 20.39 seconds !!!!!

I think it's a record for the slowest vehicle ever on our dyno

I'll for sure keep up with the progress. I'm loving the "worn" exterior with killer drivetrain setup, should be a hit... Freiburger seems to have hit on that a little lately too.
And fwiw, novas really arent over done. 1st gen camaros, tri-5 chevys, yes, all over done, but hell they are still badass cars.
Sweet project, can't wait til its done, keep us posted.
The 300hp switch is based on a 19lb hr injector. The 19 is something I want for drivability. This will be a test for our customers in the long run, although we will have fun learning. We are not out to prove how much power we can make on pump gas. We are trying to showcase drivable power.

thats an awsome idea. i kinda thought of something like that a while back but since i dont have W2W funds the idea was just that. how does that work though? once the injector gets over or close to its max duty cycle does it turn on the bigger ones?
This box is available from BS3 now under the name "Staged injection". It does need two tanks/fuel systems and 16 injectors to work but should be the ultimate street set up. We will drive it on Powertour to test that next year.

It'd look pretty cool with some old school baby moons on it too. I can't wait to see this project when it's done!

Hopefully you guys will dress up the engine with some nice looking parts.
