That thing is going to be amazing, I'm looking forward to seeing how that fuel setup will work, I've heard of it before but never actually seen it. Very cool!

Kev, I'm sorry this is LS1Tech. Overhaulin is found here> http://tlc.discovery.com/fansites/ov...ck=tlc_leftnav

I'm sure it will be awesome when it's done though.

I think its pretty cool.

except whats up with the 300hp pump gas limit, if I was driving that thing around the C16 tank would be empty pretty quick

It will be powered by a LS1 engine

At 300 hp the Bigstuff will transition to a 75 percent C-16 mix.

Should make for the best of both worlds considering we can toot around on pump gas then when some young ls1 punk pulls up we can put a whoopin on him without flipping a switch

Dang, that is a rare find. Keep it the original color! Also, are you keeping original tire size with the hub caps? Super sleeper in that form for sure!

Not trying to bash the project in any way....IMO the awesome powertrain setup would be better suited in a late model GM but it is unique. But each to his own. Carry on..

Was just curious. Didn't take it as a bash.

The car is something different we wanted to put together for the Power Tour opposed to our other high dollar builds.

For the most part the cars existing exterior will remain including the paint.

Kevin, the C-16 starts adding in above 300hp. It is a 25%pump 75% c-16 mix. The C-16 tank at 10 gallons will probably last all of Powertour without refilling.
Rough calcs.
A 1000hp engine will need 550#hr of fuel to run at wot(1000hp). 10 gallons of C-16 is about 80 pounds. We will be burning about 9 pounds a minute at wot. That gives us almost 9 minutes of full throttle operation before the C-16 tank needs refilling. On power tour a 5 second burst of WOT could get you a 4 digit ticket! With a 10 second ET we could make about 50 1/4 mile runs on one C-16 tankfull.

That's a sweet project.

I vote for keeping the paint original, and keeping the hubcaps on stock widened wheels.

I believe we will do a factory rally wheel with the rear widened to accept a bit bigger tire.

Personally I think the hub cap idea would be cooler.

that's about as clean a Nova as you can find unmolested. Curious why you set the hp so low before using c 16..

We assume prior to testing 300 is when the mix should start coming in.

Baseline dyno numbers as of a few minutes ago.

RWHP 88 !!!!!!!!!

1/4 mile ET test 20.39 seconds !!!!!
