YOU GOT TO SEE THIS!

YOU GOT TO SEE THIS!
Go to Speed Inc's web page. Their is a update on their shop car SOM. With a base tune, on pump gas after driving 70 miles in trafic it runs a 10.77@128.6 on a 17inch Nitto. Mind you this is with only seeing 7-8psi on a 15psi set up. It goes to show you these guys are top notch and so is there tunning, to be able to drive a big cube blower car 70 miles in rush hour and get these times. Look for this car to post some sick times in the future.

Re: YOU GOT TO SEE THIS!
Is it a full weight car? if so to go 128 is making some power considering its only making 7 pounds. my car is 3677 and it would take a truckload of power for me to go that fast.

Re: YOU GOT TO SEE THIS!
Is it really that impressive? I'm not sure. 414 cubes with 8psi of boost? That car has some serious work done to it too.
I'm not knocking it. 10.7@129 is fast as hell, but that's what I'd expect from a car with all those mods.

Re: YOU GOT TO SEE THIS!
not knocking it but a lot of big cube-only cars run those times, and those with the nitrous do MUCH better than that... maybe there are other variables?
also- why is the hood/top of car painted black?
i would hardly call that stylish if thats what they were goin for...

MMMMkay, those guys are pulling 1.4 and 1.5 60ft's on 17in nittos?
I guess we'll have to work on our launch

Re: YOU GOT TO SEE THIS!
Come on guys this is a street car on 17inch Nitto's, I was impressed, yes it has alot of work done but for a ruff tune and only 7-8 psi on a 15 psi setup I think it's great. If you guys are inpressed by that formula how can you put down this car. Buy the time it see's 15psi and a slick it will probably see 9's. But it seems every one here is a dyno warrior. If dyno's matter I would be in 9's but I am not.

Re: YOU GOT TO SEE THIS!
In the pic's you can see that the car does not have ABS or A/C, but it does have a sheetmetal intake!
That's one serious machine

Re: YOU GOT TO SEE THIS!
O.K lets put spray and a slick on the Camaro and see what it runs, makeing it fair racing. As for the cubes fine it does have an advantage, but the point was to see how extream they could go and be streetable, this is just the first outing, not the finished project. Next time I'll wait till it's done to tell everyone. Petty, whining bitches.

Re: YOU GOT TO SEE THIS!
That 140mph pass was with slicks and two power adders FYI.
I convoyed up with the Speed Inc Sunset Dream and I went 11.1@122mph NA and they drove around me.
