What is with the low boost

What is with the low boost

Can anyone explain to me, why it is we don't see LS1/LT-1's with 20+lbs of boost like you see with Supra's, GNX's and Turbo T/A's?

well the ls1 flows better then all of those so if you were runing 20# it would be over 1000rwhp

Guess you guys havnt seen this - C5R, vortech's largest blower and more intercooler than a rice show. www.hphero.com

when looking at the dyno figures bare in mind our dyno's read at least 15-20% LESS than yours.

So, am I understanding this right. we are more efficient and don't require the higher boost to equal a given increase in horsepower?

could be because the ls1 really wasnt made for boost, the aluminum block, etc. just couldnt handle it without extensive/expensive modifications. the three cars you listed all came from the factory with turbos.

the highest numbers i've seen are around 10 or 12 psi on an ls1/ls6 and around 20 psi on an lt1, not too shabby imo <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
