Default F.I. on lt1

I am really wanting to run a F.I. system on my 94, but am not sure what route to take, turbo, or s/c, I also have the problem of having all stock internals. could I safely run like 6psi on the stock internals and not really worry? I have an upgraded ignition and I would get the aeromotive fuel system or something like that for the fuel part. Just trying to get an idea, I keep getting told I should just build the engine with the $ first but not sure yet. I have like almost 94k miles on her too.

If you decide to do FI, be prepared to realize that the motor could blow with 5 miles or 50k miles...it depends on the tuning and the mechanical condition of the engine before install. My point is this, if this is your DD, then build a forged motor on the side and enjoy your car now while your building the motor. Once you get the new motor in, save up for a blower or turbo and enjoy the new power and torque from the new engine (with FI cam and fully ported heads).

If its not your daily driver, than put the blower on and run a conservative tune on 5-6psi and hope it doesnt blow. it should last a while with a good tune. Then, you can start saving for the built motor.

boost is definitely a drug to me. i have a 94 too. i bought the car with a vortech on it already. i do have forged internals so im ok when upping the boost. im running 12 pounds right now. but the motor is coming out of the car now so i can do some other things to it. im also thinking bout upping the boost a little more.

I'm glad you seem to want to forge it first. You can avoid headaches later on down the road.
