spark plug reading question
i just had the car dyno tuned and A/F ratio was set to 12.5 . should i be worried? is this normal or should the electrode be darker?
the car has an ATI kit running 10psi
what happened to your plugs! toooo lean?

<strong>What are the best ways to determine you need a colder plug than the TR6's with FI?</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">The "best" way is to do a WOT 1/4 mile run, shut the eng. off, coast to a stop, pull a plug and 'read' it. If it's blistered, has a cracked insulator, and/or too 'white' in appearance then you're plugs may be too 'hot'.
If you hear detonation and then pull a plug, it may be too late..............see the link above with pics.
