Default spark plug reading question

i took my plugs out for inspection and i see that the electrode is white / light tan and the base is black ( like really black).

i just had the car dyno tuned and A/F ratio was set to 12.5 . should i be worried? is this normal or should the electrode be darker?

the car has an ATI kit running 10psi

That sounds about what mine looked like when I just changed them. I could not tell you wheater or not its good. I was a little worried also. When I use to be a nitrous freak I had a plug burn like in that picture. Dont know what happened to the tip of it. Woops! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

They seem to like Denso plugs for FI over there. Anyone have any opinions or experience with them?

The NGK BR7EFs and the Denso IT24s are both colder than the TR6s.

What are the best ways to determine you need a colder plug than the TR6's with FI?

If it's blistered, has a cracked insulator, and/or too 'white' in appearance then you're plugs may be too 'hot'.

If you hear detonation and then pull a plug, it may be too late..............see the link above with pics.
