odd, I have no idea what a dyno dynamics dyno is though Is it possible to go back there and verify something hasnt happened since those pulls?

By that boost graph it doesnt look like the belt is slipping, I think you are making the boost you should with the stock intercoolers and a P1 with that pulley at that engine rpm on a 383 with that cam. I assume your compression is fairly low also?

Dragstrip results have a ton of variables but those dynojet numbers seem way off. Were you locking the converter on the dynojet and do you have one of those graphs?

Its like a Mustang Dyno, it can apply load. But I can go back.

The boost curve looked good. Just not enough. CR is 9:1

I always lock the converter when I tune on the dyno. I'll post one from the dynojet tonight.

Thanks.

thats really strange that you went from 550rwhp on a load bareing dyno to less than 500rwhp with a no load bareing dyno.Does the car feel different or slower since you first dyno'd it and made the 550rwhp?the cam was speced for your particular app so i dont think thats part of the problem.Try a D1 and ditch the twin intercoolers.

The car seems pretty fast. Was able to keep up with a Z06 with a 150 shot on the street. :dunno: But doesn't feel much faster than the old engine.

I did noticed on the dynojet the peak HP was only @ 5600. But on the other dyno it keeped climbing to 6000.

I really don't want to get that far into it by going with a FMIC. I'll switch to a D1 and will even go to the new 4.5" IC if I have to. But first I want to make sure my current set-up is running fine.

what was the old setup compared to now?And do you think that if your hp is peaking now at 5600 and b4 if climbed to 6k or higher that you might have a valvetrain issue, like springs or something?

I cut the run @ 6100-6200. Didn't want to spin the engine too high till I got the AFR inline.

Hmm...had the heads all taken apart and cleaned up before installing them. Patriot Golds with harden pushrods 7.40"

some have complained about the patriot springs...were they tested for their seat pressure?something seems off, nothing major, just some annoying stupid little thing thats causing the power loss.ur valvetrain geometry is good?what rockers are you using?and no leaks right?

I'll have to check the sheet. But I think they were ok. I guess I should have stayed with the Comps 921's like I had on the last set of heads.

Stock rockers. I'll check the valvetrain again. You thinking my preload is not enough?

No leaks that I can find.

ive never been a big fan of beehive springs no matter what kind....but ive heard a few things about the patriot springs,i believe a mod tested the springs and found that they didnt have the pressure that they claimed.i dont know about preload.id just go down the check list, you said no leaks so check that off n go to valvetrain.

Well Erik told me he uses them so I didn't see an issue.

The first sheet is my first run on the dynojet. I also noticed that it is STD and not SAE.

The second one is where I richen up the AFR up top.

And for reference the dyno dynamics sheet.

I know, I know. I'd be willing to switch to the D1. But I don't want to be fabricating a FMIC.

But I also don't want to spend money on the wrong thing.

I'll try that. But does the belt look a little short to you?
