Default High HP dyno charts?

I am looking for some high HP dyno charts from various sized engines and combinations. I am most interested in a 700 whp+ 346-370 ci engine, but bigger ones would be interesting too. The application I will be putting an LSx engine into will be limited for torque by the transmission, so I am looking for something with lower torque, high HP, but not super laggy on the turbo end. I am looking at 4" bore with a 3.622 stroke, a big cam and twin 67mm turbo's. I definately need more data before deciding on a setup though, and I can't find any high HP non-nitrous dyno sheets that show torque, especially for smaller cube engines.

Thanks Mightymouse, that is the type of graph I am looking for! The only thing I didn't see is, what compression are you running?

If you happen to run across a torque chart I would be very interested in it John. That is a very nice looking graph, extremely flat.

You should see the 754rwhp, straight across bigtime.

Twin 67's! Those are WAY too big! You can easily make 800+ rwhp with 60's. What tranns are you running?

It will be a Mendeola transmission rated at 650 ft/lbs. This is a non-GM application. Lets just say the twin turbo LS2 will be powering a 2400 lb car. I am purposely going a bit big on the turbo's to add a little lag. They will also make more power though because the air will be cooler. This is a mid engine car, so I am not going to be able to run a big FMIC. It will be either twin side mounts or air to water.

Anyway, I want 800 - 1000 whp, but limit the torque to 750 ft/lbs max. This car will be lighter, so the tranny should handle some extra torque.

That is why I want to dyno charts, to see what combinations make good top end power, but limit the torque. I have also been thinking of going with a short stroke engine. Lunati goes all the way down to 3.2". I will probably use the new World block that is coming out, then I should be able to do a 4.125" bore with 7.5:1 compression (again purposely on the low side).

Easiest way would be twin 61's with big A/R's, big duration cam and a nice 112LS. That will shift the curve way to the right and keep the torque numbers down. No sense in going with huge 67's with such a small cube motor. Twin 61's with 1+ A/R ratios will do the trick.

are you buildind a drag motor or top end motor.
a 4.125 bore with a 3.621 stroke would be good 387 cubes and be able to rev out well.

hmmmmmmmm, JETmn, so what car is it your putting it in? its not an Ultima GTR is it??? if it is ace! i have wanted to see someone build a twin turbo lsx for one of these for ages!

take a look at wheel to wheel. they have a LS1 thats running close to 1500bhp i think, but thats on an iron block, but you should be able to get 1000bhp out of an ally. also they are building a twin supercharged 402 ls2 thats making close to 1000bhp already! and their using twin rotex centrifugal blowers so the torque should be lower but still with a strong to end!

i have also sent you a PM about the 'box!

thanks CHris.

PS hope you keep us all updated. sounds a very intresting project!!!!

smokin hawk, that is what I am planning on doing with the new World block coming out.

GTB that is about exactly what I am looking for! Do you have a link to your mod list? What is on the right axes? I am guessing you didn't make 2,700 ft/lbs of torque

JZ - I know the 61's would get me to 800 whp easily, they will starting to get taxed at the 1k mark, which I may eventually go for. I will be running pretty high boost with the low compression. I haven't actually thrown the numbers on a compression map yet because I am still up in the air about the engine. I have a 61 on my current car and really like it. 498 whp at 25 psi on a 2.4l 4 cylinder.

chunt - it is going into a car similar to a Ultima

If you plan to exceed 1000, then go 63's, or custom 62's. We have a 62mm wheel that will darn near flow close to 82lbs/min. They are much taller though but we may could fit them in a small chassis unit. They make alot of dang noise though....
