Too many factors come into play....
Pump gas?
race gas?
intercooled?
how much advance?
how much power are you after?
what cam?
turbo or blower? (it makes a difference)
bottom end??

Re: What is the highest Boost I can run? Thanks guys. I was hoping for 7psi. Maybe with more info I can get a better picture. Looking at the ATI Supercharger (D-1SC)with intercoolers. Run on pump gas and my cam specs are 222/222 LSA114 and keeping the bottom end stock for now. Can I run 7psi if I don't go to the track much.

He didnt say he had mods, race gas, cam, or if he was spraying NOS... he said he had 10.8 compression.

like i said, it depends. You can't say 5 psig and no more. Application specific, everytime.

Not going to the track isn't gonna change things. A D1 at 7 psi is a decent amount of flow, figuring the heads flow pretty well, and you've got some kind of exhaust. Making 7 psi on the gauge is alot of air through the motor. 10.8:1 CR is a bit high for that level, but it can be done w/ the right tune.

Re: What is the highest Boost I can run? I understand what you guys are saying. I too run my car with more boost (9 lbs) than what is safe for the stock bottom end LS1 Engine. That does not make my tuner any better than anyone elses.

Re: What is the highest Boost I can run? I think you can run upto 35psi, for 5 seconds. on 89 octane. Only once. <img border="0" alt="[kaboom]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bomb.gif" />

Re: What is the highest Boost I can run? Thanks guys, I appreciate the info. I just have your typical bolt on mods with Stage II heads/cam. I was hoping for the 500RWHP with the SC as I'm dynoing at 362RWHP and 380RWTQ SAE Corrected at this time (automatic tranny) as I need more tuning still.
So with good tuning, I can run higher boost? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
Please explain how as I thought the compression was the only factor as to how much boost I can run.
