External fuel pump setups?
We use the Walbro 392 inline in most heads/cam/spray cars. IT is VERY quiet and reliable.

I took my advice from some of the mustang guys. My pump is a lil overkill for most setups but I am also looking down the road. I have been looking at some of the BG pumps that have been recently released as they seem to carry some nice stuff.
I would use a belted pump on a race car but not a street car (just my personal pref though)
With the hp ratings of the dual intanks they are a hard bargain to beat. No sumping of the tank, and other issues. I would buy another Weldon though.

So far so good on the pump that Aeromotive warned me is only rated for about 500 hours of full power use. I'm over than by now, and no issues. And yes, it's LOUD <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I now run the Aeromotive and use the Aeromotive controller. Runs at about half speed on the street and is very quiet IMO, especially compared to the Weldon. I have a toggle to flip it on full speed when shooting laughing gas.
The Weldon's are very heavy as well (about 10 pounds). The Aeromotive is much easier to mount than a Weldon.

I would like to run an external so that I can easily check the pump and make the car easier to work on.
Now, I hear from various folks that Weldons don't last long on the street, not heard that about the Bosch or Aeromotive pumps... Thoughts?

I dont do much street driving anymore so I didnt even buy the step down box. If I were driving it more on the street though I wouldnt hesitate.
Good luck.
