Thinking about FI...
This will mainly be a street car, so i'm not looking for too much more than 500 to the wheels on 93 octane. What size turbo would be good for these goals (car is stock besides a lid and shifter), and would it be necessary to use an intercooler at this point or is that for the motors with the bigger numbers? Since I have a 98, would it be correct to assume the stock fuel system would be able to support this? Also, if I were to already have the turbo, how much would it cost to have someone fabricate and install the rest of the system? I'm thinking of just going single because the ls1 doesn't seem to have a hard time spooling, and it would save some money/complication as well.
go there. they can hook you up
I just talked to Kenny this mourning and in a couple of weeks he should be able to turn around a stage 2 kit in one to two weeks. He has worked out a deal with ATI and another business partner so that he wont have any more delays in his products. In fact you wont even have to pay until you recieve a tracking number!
Give him a call and talk to him, He can explain the whole thing himself. (303)346-5232
I believe that his kit is the best. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
You will need a beefier fuel system to support 500rwhp. You might be able just to install a bigger intank fuel pump but you will need bigger injectors too. If I were you I'd plan to run something like a 50 lb (true size) injector.
I am shooting for over 700rwhp and will be running a set of Delphi 83 lb injectors and an external fuel fuel pump.

The cost? It's hard to say, but if you are hell bent on getting a single kit soon you might want that LS1 Motorsports kit, it's out and it's getting a few small revisions.
I bugged Jim about making me a kit for my car, and he has his hands full with his own car.
