True, but how much sweeter would it be to be known to have a nice looking AND fast car!

I don't really like the write-ups on the 12 second cars, they just don't impress me...

Email Rick Jensen, he is the new editor, Johnny Hunkins is moving to California he has taken over Popular Hot Rodding.

I am going to call Rick tomorrow, if I get a hold of him I will link him to this thread...

Keep in mind that they like to spread out cars, so they will feature a Camaro, then a GN, then a Pontiac, etc...

Strong track times would certainly save you from extreme ribbing on our site if you got a writeup.

Noyzee,

Sweet car man. Really like the powerplant.

One suggestion though, GM High Tech doesn't seem to feature many cars that have ground effects like yours. They may be making it a little too "import looking" for them perhaps.

Another thing, they really also seem to like the cars with larger tire/wheel combo's in the back so that the cars nose sits down a little more.
I'll bet you anything if you took the ground effects off, put some like 15X10 welds w/ some 28" ET streets in back and skinnies up front you would get it in. Many of the cars in their zine are set up for drag racing.

I should be ready for some spring fun unless I run into a snag. Work relief should be happening in mid May. Then I can concentrate on the car a little.

Ya id like to see the Cars on here get in the magizines. We are the ls1 community, the cars on this and the other forum are the fastest around
I want to get in HPP some time (got to wash it fist though)

It would be cool to see Noyzee's, Y2khawks, Black ls1 T/A's, Mightymouse's and yours truly featured. All the big FI posters.

Default Re: I want my car in GM High Tech!!!!

PSJ, thanks, that could help out, I just sent in a hole list of things and pics to GMHTP but the new guy might not get them. I hope he does!
JFWS6-- I think if you saw my car in some new pics you would see the rake it has. I have air bags out back to lift it, the stance of the car is way differant. that is what i am going for. I look at it like this, The ground effects, No one in GMHTP has them, no cars at car shows have them, so why not have them and look differant then all the other Z's??? I think it sets it apart! also I ordered new wheels I should have them in a couple weeks. Bogart RR-10's, should look sweet. also everyone has big exhast tips, so I hid mine up under the bumper, also opens the back of the car up! everyone lowers the cars, I leave it and lift the back up with air bags! My car is differant then most, I would think, that and the fact of a Twin Turbo Prototype kit would make it interesting to them!!!
Smokinhawk----I am waiting on 8 psi springs for the waist gates so I can crank it a little bit, once the new motor is in then i'll see some boost! as for track times, 2 weeks till my track opens so i'll let you know!!!!!!
Also( i know this is a long one!) The car is set up for the track check the suspention, I run DR onn the street! I want a street car, i drive her alllllll the time, what is better then drive to the track on 93 octain, run 11's, drive home and never turn a wrench to change a tire!! I do most racing shall we say "not at the track!"
