Default 15 psi engine build from scratch

hi guys
i purchased a 2000 ls1 to start a twin turbo project for my 2100 lb car,
i have 2 t4 turbos to power the project,
and plan on useing dta fast or electromotive
engine management system.
my plan is to run pump fuel and moderate boost and be able to change up maps to run c12 for max power at high boost when desired.
i have built a fuel tank with 2 sections to carry 2 different fuels,

my question is if you were to build a max boost
street strip engine, what prep and brand parts would you use for a bottom end ,that will see the extreme forces placed on it with 15 to 20lbs boost? for starters will the stock crank have to go?
harlin your input would be apreciated! and so you know i an red faced, sorry
if you would like to see the car it is on the first page (at the bottom )of the web site mantacars.com
and also in the montage registry under dwayne wilson there is 4 or 5 pics. thanks

2100 lbs? Normally the 6.0 liter iron block would be a good solid base, but that 80 lbs might be important to you. Guys are running in the 800 hp range right now with the aluminum block, but you did say indestructable, right?

hi Geoff ,
i am trying to keep the weight down as the engine is mounted midengine,i can reliably only run 7-800 #s torque through the trans axele, its a built porsche G50 turbo transmission.
i would like to take the LS1 close to the limit.
what is the max rpm for the stock crank with good rods? over 7000 rpm? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

What a coincidence! My TR8 is 2100lbs appx. It's being fitted with an LS1 on 7:1 c/r and stock rods/crank but balanced to less then 1 gm. I'm also using DTA and am making a custom cast aluminium twin throttle intake. I'm looking for suitable gearbox info. I need a box that can handle the torque, he he! I have room for 335x17 tyres and have a thunderbird 8.8 axle with lsd as well as the launch/traction control offerred by the DTA. I also have space reserved for dual tanks because I want to use lpg if possible.

hi mike the tr8 is a sweet car, The porsche 930 or G50,is the best way to go,but you have to plumb it for a pressurized oil system to spray oil on the gear clusters to remove heat, due to the big torque, send e mail i will send you some links , a few companys sell them ready to go,
love to see some pics..........
