Default Experiance With CAS! Buyers Beware! **UPDATE**

Well I like to start out by saying there were not as good as I anticipated. I ordered a FMI( Front Mount Intercooler) from CAS 1/13/03. Tony Dequick ( owner of CAS) told me it would only take 2 weeks, well this thing took over 3 months . Not only did it take so long but more than half the items were missing..
The agreement was to build me an intercooler kit, which included the piping the fittings and snout to make it work with my set up. I emailed him 7 times and left 4 messages on his answering machine. He never once bothered to answer anything back. And in one of the emails I sent him I stated that I will give him 2 weeks to redeem himself and make everything square if he would just send the rest of the parts. Well it's obvious he didn't take me seriously and it resulted in this.
I'm not the only person who he Jerked around. Take a look at he Buick websites http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/sh...?threadid=74356
they have interseting things to say about CAS as well!

I bought a CAS sheet metal intake that was solicited by Tony back in December 02. Still today he has not sent the fuel rails he promised. I have e-mails from him to confirm that he indeed does owe me the rails and also that he will send them out. It will cost $250.00 for Kinsler to fit the rails, so the way I see it, is he owes me a $250.00 credit. There are many stories that are all true and consistant to the following facts:

1. Tony does indeed ship out items that are not complete.

2. Tony does lie/mislead people to when the items will be shipped, and has in a few cases given bugus UPS tracking ##'s

3. Tony lies about tenative shipping and completion dates of products ordered

4. Tony in almost all cases does not end up making things right and leaves buyers out in the cold.

Folks, don't think you will be different. He may do the same to you. There are many vendors that support our hobbies and make good on what they advertise. Please beware when buying from this clown.

Damn, I just bought a Boost Referenced FPR from them last week. I sure hope I don't get the run around from these guys. I'll let you all know if I run into any issues.

I know there was a GP a while back that was out of control, I recall Tony telling me that the originator of the GP kept adding cars upon cars, and there was not a great deal of standardization for the orders... He said that he would not do as large of a GP again... Of course he could have also turned away the business but I think we all find that hard to do.

I have known Tony for a few years. He's a very nice guy. I think that he was merging with someone else so that result in him being more organized and more responsive. I do think that some items are in stock, others are not.

I would not be comfortable having him as a sponsor until I know he was stocking big stuff and was caught up on all the old stuff. He is supposed to have relocated to Bensenville which is about ten miles from me, so Tony if you are reading this, email me, I can stop by on Saturday to chat if it makes sense.

psj,

If this was one story, its understandable, everybody makes mistakes. It is not.

This guy has several stories of outright ripping people off. That is AGAINST THE LAW last I checked.
This is unacceptable and there is no reason this guy should be in business furthermore.
You people should contact the authorities and/or take this guy to court.

If this guy is a sponsor he should be banned.

I was going to do a twin turbo kit but I changed my mind once I started to hear these horror stories.

No thank you, I'll take my business elsewhere.

I'm done doing any business with CAS as well.

I have personal stories, as well as close friends that have been screwed.

It is pretty common knowledge about his bad service on both turbobuick.com and syty.net (amongst others I'm sure).

He's even shorted vendors many parts, so there is no discretion. This has been going on for a few years now, getting worse and worse.

Doesnt Tony work somewhere full time as well as running CAS on the side??

Not defending AT ALL trust me but I think I remember hearing that some time ago when some other people were complaining about the lack of service.

Argh, I called in today to see the status of my order. No one picked up and their an swering machine is full. I'm starting to get that uneasy feeling. How long do I have to reverse a credit card charge? It's funny that I ordered the fuel pump from Ramchargers like 3 or 4 days after the CAS FPR, and that got here in a matter of days.

Well I'm not gonna jump on their **** just yet, but it's not looking good from my end.

If you want to go to boost referencing, I'd go a different route anyhow.

You can either get a '97 corvette setup with the 3.8 v6 fuel lines, or get the accufab billet rails and regulator and run new lines. I was at Ramcharges last Friday, and they were installing the 5.0 fuel rails into an LS1 intake and they fit perfect. Pretty nice setup, too.

On the chance I do have to reverse the charges what are my other options? I like the idea of boost referencing, if for nothing else making tuning easier.

I'll start a new thread in the fuel section so as not to hijack this one. Thanks white.

If Tony thinks his going to leave me in the cold he surely is mistaken. Will just wait and see! CAS

Before I ordered my rad from him he would respond to my emails within a couple of hours.

After I sent him the cash I didn't get a single email from him.

His fax line was disconnected and his voicemail full.

I emailed him about a dozen times with no response.

I finally got my cash back from Visa and some from paypal.

There are tons of guys that have been ripped off by Tony from ChargedAir.com

STEER CLEAR!! He owes people THOUSANDS of dollars.

Everything you hear about him is true. He really is that bad a thief.

I heard he is going into business with supervipersystems.com

I have been told by a few of my Grand National buds to steer clear from him as well. Always seemed like a good guy to me but when he screwed over a freind that is when I decided to no longer think about buying his products or anything from him.

Their phonebox is full, I was unable to leave a second message. I can't at this time really reccomend that folks use CAS until they get Gus here all of his parts for his C5.

I really don't know know why someone would do this. I have seen his work first hand and like others said it is very high quality. Noyzee is a friend of mine and I know he has bought a few other parts off of him. He is supposed to be mak ing him a new header right now to replace a cracked one. Hope he gets it.

After spending sometime on the other boards reading about CAS, I think people's stories are credible and I think he has ripped alot of ppl off. Thats a shame.

I dont know if anyone has seen this post but the Turbo buick guys are looking to get stickers made up to warn people of CAS. Here are some they came up with:

http://www.caro.net/sully/temp/no_cas.png
