Input Please - 2002 TA A4 + 427 & D1SC = Glowing Headers at Cruise??

I had this same problem with my LT1 .Turned out the cam was ground all out of whack .Verify your cam specs, mistakes do happen when they grind them.

Thanks again for the input. All tubes on both headers were the issue.

I am a little confused here.. How did adding timing cool off the exhaust charge??? I can get my headers to glow red-hot also... but I do it by adding to much timing...
