Default Oil in down pipe

Hey guys, started the TA up last night and noticed after i shut it off, there was a substantial amount of oil settled on the bottom of the downpipe, am I getting this on my rear-mount because I don't have my mocal return hooked up yet and it's settling or is it because I'm running a -4an un-restricted and 1/4 ID hose and it's blowing past the seals (I have a -4an restricted fitting also if I need it). Mind you, I had started it night before last and noticed a little bit of oil coming out over time on the ground, but noticed it settled in the downpipe after last night's warm-up. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I have the line from the turbo for the return hooked up but it's not hooked up to the mocal return pump. I just had it run into the valve cover, and it does pump oil into the top end, but not sure if it's the line going to the turbo that is blowing the oil past the seals or if it's because it has to push the oil the entire distance and up into the valve cover.

Its not draining back... Especially under boost there is no vaccum in the crankcase..

You may be just pressurizing your oil return...

On all my systems I run a -4an oil feed ans a -10an return.. That is on a front mount mounted high above the pan... Gravity can overcome alot on that one.. On your rig park it untill you get the pump...

I have the pump, haven't driven it, this is under idle and rev, etc. I also have -4an feed and -10an return on my rig. I think I'm going to put the return in the oil-level hole, since I'm not really feeling the valve cover, and I have a really nice chrome screw-in breather for the valve cover. So you don't think the un-restricted -4an flange is what the problem is? I don't want to pitch too much oil into it and have it blow past the seals and smoke like hell. Thanks for the info.

Since it is a bushing turbo right? You dont want the restriction.... Also with that many feet of line I'm not sure a restrictor would leave a ball bearing turbo enough oil either..

Use -10 but since the turbo is'nt way above an infront of the pan you NEED the pump.

You have to HAVE to have the pump hooked up or the kit will be sucking oil into the intake pipe. Check it and you will see its a mess. The MAF sensor is the worst to clean up. There is nothing pulling the oil out of the turbo so its just overflowing into your downpipe.
