Default Yeah, Another STS post.

Now, we all know the increasing popularity of the STS. Of the people that have the kit, I'd just like to know if you're satisfied w/ it? I know I probably bitch on here about STS more than everyone, but I've come to the realization. 99% of all my problems are self-inflicted or caused by a prior faulty tune. All-in-all I'm pleased to have one of the fastest cars among my friends and credit it to STS. Hence the poll. I'd like to see out of the people that do own STS kits how many of them are glad they bought them.

Very happy with mine. 10 months and 14,000 miles of DD and 7 lbs of boost without any problems. My little 4.8 really needs the help to push this heavy truck around.

Everyone who has ever been in it has been very impressed!

The best decision I made when trying to make some decent-now alot of power. And I love having a blow-off valve and waste gate when the evos and STI's wanna rev.

I think the Cartek/STS vette answers any question about the setup.

I'm beginning to wonder if this poll is accurate.

What if it is?

Personally, I like the STS... but maybe some STS owners aren't happy.

Bush won this term... but that doesn't mean the voting was inacurrate.

It's not easy to admit you don't like your STS in the F-body crowd, you guys know that. Then again, maybe it is inaccurate... I do know of at least one user that disliked his STS and changed his whole set-up. Then again, that was his third change or something.

Who knows?

I love mine STS Turbo system. The power I have is crazy! I'm on my second Trans. I just broke a $3500.00 Art Carr tranny that is guaranteed to handle 800HP so the Trans is getting sent back and will be fixed under warrantee. The same Trans I just trashed is in a friends 10 sec blown TA and he has 3 years of use on his with no issues at all. He runs slicks and pulls the front end 3 inches off the ground at the track. I haven't even had my car on a track and have run nothing but street tires. My point is my STS is making allot of power to break this trans.

Whats up guys i'm new and this is the first time I reply. I got the sts set up was happy but i think the tunning is wrong. Started with 475@6.5psi boost was having problems took back to shop that installed and tuned. Owner told me the tune some how changed and was down on hp. Then said the boost controller was not working? Now with new controller and retuned i'm making 420@6.5psi. I never had any vehicle with turbo so dont know to much about it and what to expect.

Had a few bugs in the beginning but ironed out now and loving it every time I start the truck I get a smile on my face. This is my daily driver and now with over 6,000 miles on the turbo and about a year later its the best thing I have ever purchased!!!!!!!!!!! fun, fun, fun.

I'm very happy with mine. It's awesome. Around 3k or so it really starts to kick in. I'm very happy with this set-up.

Its funny, that as of now, 8 people have said they are not happy with "THIER" STS system, but none of them have posted why. If I had some thing I was unhappy with, I would surely tell people why. My guess is there those votes are from haters that have never even seen an STS.

Why doesn't somebody that voted just click the box, like was said, and click the profile names of the voters and see their set-ups? I'd do it and vote but I don't have an STS.

Do you have a stock car w/ the exception of the STS? Because I was told 475 is impossible w/ 6 - 6.5 lbs of boost. So maybe something was broken that was raising your boost beyond what you set it. I know right now I'm making about 420 w/ 5# of boost so maybe there's something he skipped in the tuning.

PS. FOR ANYONE. I read in the latest GM High Tech about how the sy/ty owner's usually do what's referred to as Brake Boosting w/ their auto's. Would that work w/ the STS setup?
