Heat shields
Want to fab up heat shields for my turbo headers. Question is stainless or aluminum and why. Seems like it would be too hot for aluminum but then seems like stainless would just be like a hot plate. Any input would be appreciated.

All of the OEM's use steel for exhaust/turbo heat shields (whether it be stainless or plated mild steel). It's going to be a poorer insulator than stainless, but I'm sure aluminum would work ok.
