60's would be much better to start off with. Less hassle in the long run.

Phamspeed install after 8 months of waiting I am finally installing the kit after 8 months of waiting, I am in the process of installing the heads and cam, and will then move on to turbo....I think this kit might be to much for me in terms of power I might go D1sc supercharger if I can get a deal before I am done with the H/C install will see...some pics for u guys.....

Unless you have forged rods and pistons, I wouldn't add forced induction on top of having added heads and a cam. The only way to keep if alive is to keep the boost down, along with a good tune. Bob

wow thats a rather large turbo cam.You didnt mention if the heads were stock or ported.Id also shoot for 550rwhp until you save the cash to get a forged bottom end.Thats still plenty for the street and a relatively stock car.Id also recommend selling the 42# injectors before you use them so theyre still new and get 60#ers.

He's talking about my old setup. oringed 5.7 ported heads, cam, stock head bolts. On a 100% stock bottom end. 12psi max boost. Ran it all season many many times. Plus street driving. When we tore it down it was in perfect condition. Went a best of 9.85 @ 138 mph. @ 3450 race weight. I think it is still the fastest/quickest FI stock bottom.

But I've done 10,000mi on my stock bottom end at 8lbs, It has lq9 st. 2 heads, a mild boost cam and a very good fuel system with 50lb inj's.
Seems safe for now, I'm in the 575rwhp range.
