Default Engine test fit

Brought the motor home. First time the chassis and motor have met each other. Everthing seems to fit far better than I had hoped. Motor will go back to the shop next week to begin construction of the intake. Had to get measurements for downpipes and just see where I am at with the project.

Man, when you do something; you do it. I like that.

So where are you putting the downpipes? Out, back, down, around and back? Maybe though the area between the a-arms outside the frame-rails?

EDIT: Patriot heads? I'd jump on some ETP units if I were you. Its like you have a solid gold turbo system on a bronze set of heads.

Dont think he is going to switch heads after all that he has done to them. Really kind of a shame to hide all the chamber work you did on them.

Not your standard Patriots. Downpipes, Dont know yet. With this design I got nothin' but room. Car will have short sidepipes.

Looking great!

How and where are you going to run the exhaust over the frame to the side pipes? Through the frame?

That thing is just silly. VERY tastefully done. I haven't really been following your project... what kind of chassis is that? Also, are the purple pieces anodized, powder coated or painted?

A 5 gallon bucket.. some sulphuric (battery) acid, distilled water. Cheap battery charger and some labor (polishing / cleaning) along with some practice and you too can anodize everything in sight....

very nice looking set-up.

we built my system with a straightedge between the fenders. unfortunately we forgot about the dips in the hood and had to lower the turbos.

we ran the 3" exhausts through the frame on my car and turned them out through the rocker panels in front of the rear wheels where the brake duct inlets would be on a zo6. looks pretty trick and, without mufflers, it sounds like a 747 cruising down the road.

Have a 4" cowl hood that is very wide. Have a plan "B" that may or may not feature visible turbo's. Willing to improvise. I want my short pipes to have a wicked dragster look without looking like sidepipes. I have 3 1/2" stainless pipe and turnouts. Dude, You have one bad *** Vette'.

EDIT: Like to see pics of the exhaust exits along with the motor. You must have done something with your fuel tanks as well....... or on second reading.....through the frame?? as in through the frame along the rocker? That took some doing!
