If this sells I'm looking at a TTi race kit with an 80mm, then I'll do a cage, BS3 etc and pretty much make a race car. If it doesnt sell I'll run it again next year with the D1, I had fun with it last year..

I will probably sell the BS3 if i keep the blower and I will do the cage either way. It will add about 60lbs over what I have now (10pt MS compared to bolt in 6pt moly) so I'll have to take some weight out somewhere. Probably seat and rear sway bar and cut off some unused bracketry/hrat shields etc..

I'm kinda having second thoughts about selling it to be honest. I sat down this morning and figured what it was going to cost me in parts alone to do the turbo and knock .5-.75 off the car in the 1/4 and I'm not sure if it will be worth it or not for what I'm doing with the car, its strictly a 'fun' thing and sometimes you get to a point where cost and work of upgrading outweighs the fun factor..

I say you sell that stuff and see how inexpensively you could build a turbo kit. You already have a nice chassis (no A/C, etc.). Throw some $50 manifolds, a few hundred in tubing, etc. and find a turbo online. Maybe you could come out even not counting the cage and BS3.

I could do that I guess, I probably will just collect parts over the summer and play with it in the fall. I will need a new torque converter, trans brake (I already have a BS3 I picked up recently), different gear, I dont trust my torque arm setup to go a lot faster, fuel system etc to make use of the turbo. Not really anything major but it all adds up, I just dont want to whip a turbo on the car and see what happens, I want it to run to its full potential and I just dont have the supporting parts right now. PSJ has a nice fuel system, BS3, cage etc already so its pretty seamless for him to move into a turbo. I just dont have the time or enthusiasm to redo the whole car right now, its in enough pieces already with the motor out

Well, in that case, just keep your stuff and continue tuning, with BS3 and SD this time.

But, I didn't expect a guy like you would just pick up a "kit" and slap it on. I was a little disappointed. You've been doing different stuff since techls1.com

Also, I know P$J is going turbo, but his experience would be a little diff$$$$erent than most folks IMO.

Its a time thing, its no big deal for me to build something but I really like the TTi setup, no alt/PS relocation (A/C is already gone) and I like the A2W setup. I'm the first guy to try to go as quick as I can with the least anount of money but I just like that kit, kind of like the way my wife looks at a 5000.00 mink coat when a 50.00 wal-mart parka would keep her just as warm

Its not really about the money though, when the motor gets back here I can have the car back running in 3 days and I wouldnt mind making a few paases in the cooler weather. I just dont have the enthusiasm to change everything at once, figure I can do the cage, BS3 and fuel system one step at a time and not lose interest, if I take this thing all back apart again I may never put it back together
