the lines off of the spacer are assorted vacuum and boost reference lines. With the manifold pressure this methods allows good connections without blowing lines off.

Most back halved or tube chassis cars locate the driver in that position for many reasons including sitting lower in the car, ability to get in and out considering the funny car cage addition, placement of weight, and that cool chicano low rider look. :Jest:

Chassis should cert 25.2 and the only factory unibody left on the car is in the engine compartment. Other than that it is pretty much all tube chassis up to the termination point just beyond the front wheels and I do not believe the car will recieve carpet.

The oil pan is a cast piece from ARE that we use on all of our dry system builds. It also adds a little strength to the block.

More pics as soon as I can guys and thanks once again for the kind words.

Could the non-pan scavenge be used as a vacuum pump? Like off of one valvecover?

The attention to the little details is just amazing.

But it's never gonna start unless you bolt the starter to the motor.

The car isn't getting any carpet. The floor looks too good to cover up.

The seat was moved back for a couple reason's.

With the halo around the driver there wouldn't be much room for me to get out of the car if left in the stock location.

I'm 6'2" and wanted to put my 230-240 lbs as far back in the car as possible for weight distribution purposes.

We thought it would be smart too put me as far back as possible while still being able to reach the pedals. The custom steering column helped with this also.

I appreciate the kind word's and want to emphasis Kurt and the staff at W2W came up with the plan for this car.I'm just paying the bill.

Dry sump is a Dailey 5 stage.

Car looks even better in person, wasnt so sure on the color (not a big yellow fan) but its going to look awesome in the sunlight. Seeing the car in person you can really appreciate the craftsmanship involved and attention to detail.

I'm guessing they are for the crew to push for the 'timer enable' function (or something equivalent) on the bs3 which is what is triggered in order for the data-loggers to start acquiring data...you will see a lot of cars at this level with a crew guy that looks like he's holding on to the car and that's exactly what he's doing...no use filling up your data sheet with a bunch of useless time while waiting to stage and what not...that and I think you only get 30 seconds of data at the highest transfer rate so you could run out before you even staged if you didn't have someone doing this for you...and the drivers themselves usually don't do it so they can focus on staging and cutting a good light...no sense having them do extra things when they can be done externally much easier and reliably...

I could be wrong though, but that's my best guess...

Don't remember seeing another pic so I'm gonna guess that at least one could possibly be to kill power, instead of having a Push/Pull type disconnect

Nope he is correct. The kill switch/button has to be clearly visable as to how to turn the car off.

Some are used for a burn-out revlimiter too.

One is for the data record function of the BS3 and the other arms the air on the chutes.

So how many man hours have we got into this? Will this car have a shot at the Riddler award? Can I buy a front row ticket to see it at the show? I'll bet it'll have a constant swarm of bees (car nuts) around it.

DAMN Dave!!! After looking at these pics I need to go have a smoke.....SWEET!

Then I think I'll go drive my POS into a tree.

So what's the goal, hanging with John Force, or beating Steve's 69 in a car show?

I don't think I have a chance at the Riddler.IIRC the car that won it last year had over a million dollars put into it.

Ronnie Dukes convertible was more tricked out than my car and he didn't win either.

The nature of a drysump is vacuum and oil control. Depending on the width of the stages and a few other details determines the vacuum that the system runs at.

So yes, the 3/4th stages could be used for vacuum, but any scavenge stage is going to add to the vac that is already created

Nothing to say that hasn't already been said about the workmanship and beauty
of this project.

I'm awaiting a video and more photos of the completed car!

P.S. This thread would be half the length if we stopped quoting every pic
and full initial story!
