It's worth it to have outcomes like that, though.
I hope W2W is still around in about 7 years when I get hired on at private hospital as a General Surgeon

Man, that is one awesome ride right there!
I love the consistency of W2W's welding, that is top notch "stack-of-dimes" welding!
I have a question about the wheelie bars. I am not (would never!) question you guys judgement or anything of the sort, but I thought sprung wheelie bars were a thing of the past. I just know that you never see Pro Modified (low 6's @ 230-ish, .08-.09 60'), Pro Stock (high 6's @ 210-ish, ~.09 60') or even NHRA Top Sportsman (7.99 and quicker, so you are talking at least 1.0 60' times) using them. I have heard they tend to steer the car in a bad way.
Again, not questioning, just wondering why not solid wheelie bars?

These fab guys can really laydown a weld for sure! Thanks for noticing!
The wheelie bars can be made both ways. We made the choice here for multiple reasons.
1. Solid bars need to be much longer to work, this can delete you from certain classes.
2. Looks.....nothing looks worse than a 7 or even 8 second car with "Pro Mod" wheelie bars.
3. Chassis set-up error- sprung bars give you time to drive out of a violent launch brought on by a heavy car with tons of torque reacting just a little different than you expected. If you miss the set-up with solid bars the car will sometimes turn violently as one tire is unloaded, with spring loaded bars they tend to smoke the tires when the springs collapse then fall back to earth.
