Fire suppresion systems or Halon systems are common in many classes and are required for proper certification.
Fire Bottle my brand of choice sprays a clear Halon to not obscure vision and is available in a few grades
99% halon 1211 which has been tested and used by most Formula one teams
Halon 1301
Or Dupont FE-36
A little bit of money for something you hope to never use but good saftey measure none the less.
