Procharger or Heads and Cam?
.. Im only 18 so i have a tight budget
and dont really feel like upgrading the drivetrain as of RIGHT NOW... but after i graduate i can.. What numbers can i see from both? all i have right now is a billet throttle body and longtubes and an offroad Y, and if it were your cars what would yall pick??? thanks
1. way more power, still got great drivability, and gas milage
2. more potential for later on
3. you can always get a matching heads and cam later on for a lot more power
4. they are fun
if u got heads and cam first, to make anywhere near the power:
a) it wont be a driver friendly car
b) those heads/cam wont match the procharger setup 90% of the time, if u were to add a procharger...
dont get me wrong, heads and cam can make great power, but with a procharger, ur grandma could drive it to the hoedown
Procharger gives you more room to grow. I went ahead and added a cam with the Procharger from the start and my low-midrange is loving the cam then the Procharger takes over up top!
Not to mention boost is fun!
