Default Belt Slip Signs?

I am in the middle of replacing internal parts of the car and was just a little concerned about some things I saw. The tensioner on the bracket has some groove marked into it. Would that be normal wear or would belt slippage cause this. Take a look..

What are your thoughts?

Maybe just some wear on the finish/paint?

With any 6/8 rib setup, you might get some slippage at 9psi and higher... symptoms vary. Worst case the belts come off.

Thats just normal wear.

If you have a ton of belt dust (a little is mormal) and the boost levels off or drops at higher RPM I would worry about slip..

Missing ribs on the belt is a good hint.

Jason, I'm glad to see you're getting it put back together. The roads of Belgium need to hear the thunder of your ProCharger again! Bob

I get and have the same type of wear on the tensioner pulley, just in the anodized finish. So far it has not caused any problems.......
