Default 10.2 compression and boost?

Is this just a dumb idea or would it be ok I am looking to make around 700-800rwhp. It is a forged shortblock. The car makes about 450 rwhp on motor unlocked with a PT4000

Rally cars run high compression and high boost. Anything is possible with high octane fuel, meth/water injecton, and excellent tuning.

You should be able to run 8-10psi and be safe. Add alky injection to be really safe...

Would 10lbs get my goals I figured it would take at least 12-15 I just dont want to have to fill a bottle up everytime I go out which is like 2-3 times a week What size turbo and intercooler would be best for my setup?

10 psi should get you close to 650rwhp. 13psi would get you to the 700rwhp mark and probably still be safe...I'm running 10psi on my stock block/stock heads and seeing 617rwhp and 572rwtq...

you'll need 10-12lbs to make 700+. On 91 I made 641rwhp on a stock head/bottom end at 9psi. A forged block will better handle the pressure of 10-12lbs of course, and make sure there's no detonation. If tuned properly, you'll be good to go on pump gas.

so how about knocking the comp. ratio down a bit with a set of heads? can the stock block (with heads) take 15psi? or is it cheaper to go with low comp pistons?

Chris.

Cool...A local boosted car...

I agree about swaping heads to so bigger chambered heads like the LQ9 that have 72cc combustion chambers. That will lower your compression by almost 1 point then you can boost to 15psi no problem
