I'm already using an aftermarket ecu with my LS1. Probably not much different to the BS3. Has a few good features built in such as traction control. I was using it with my old Rover V8 twin turbo, before I dumped it in favour of the LS1. Was easier to retain it, than re-wire for a different ecu.
Downloading the BS3 software now for a nosey..
Arent some of the controls for the dash instruments on some LS1 powered cars built into the PCM ??
Would this not create issues for a road car that wanted to go to something like BS3 ?

Speed Inc has a harness for sale that works with the stock cluster....
Its like $700 extra or something like that..... and i know others have gotten them to work...... id go ALL aftermarket gauges by then...... almost have now...............
