735 RWHP on a stock headed 346 on pump gas + meth = do a blower if you're content with under 600 RWHP? How about their vert going 9's @ 150 on their blower?

im voting for a low comp. 408 and an A&A kit.

with a well built bottom end, and meth, you could see 800+rwhp

good luck, let us know what you choose.

ok dude relax, i didnt say no blower ever will surpass 600 rwhp and that turbos are god. im saying any shelf kit will have issues surpassing that on pump gas WITHOUT meth, AND there are more belt issues with blowers than anything else. honestly i never once said blowers cant surpass 600 rwhp, i was generalizing what most blower packages do. this paxton kit is new to the ls1 market. once again relax. mr . you can roll em till they fall outta your head.

OH AND not to mention thats a 20g setup as he states in the thread, im comparing a 7g turbo kit to a 6-7g blower setup.

I like the low compression 408 option ysi. That is exactly what I am going to be doing in a couple years. Or sooner if someone wants to buy my current motor, or I make a lot of money with O.T. in a short time like I did to finance the current setup.
My car is already set for the next engine. All mods listed in sig. Good luck. Just a side note, if money is no option, go 427 TT !!!!!

im voting for a low comp. 408 and an STS twin turbos. Here's a 402 STS at 15psi on a hot day and 12psi on a cool day...

Why does everyone get so uptight over it being on a hot or cool day? The dyno has correction algorithms for temperature and pressure, and the corrected peak numbers will be very similar between a hot and cold day.

Even with the correction factor, a boosted car will make more power on a cooler day. The correction factor is ok for a NA car....

It's not like on a hotter day the turbos put any more heat into the airstream, it's all a percentage and the correction factor for temperature I have found to be very accurate. Barometric pressure and altitude is another thing, but if you dyno at the same place on a 60 and a 90 degree day SAE corrected they are going to come out to very similar numbers. I've been messing around with turbo cars for over 15 years, and this has always been the case with dynojets.
