someone tell me why i had lme change my cr from 9.5 to 8.5 yesterday and why am i not buying a F1 procharger? i forget.

From the way it is explained to me, I will have to sell my child to afford to go turbo. I need to make a decision whether I'm going turbo or F1 procharger like right now, today, asap. Bryan at LME is going to friggin kill me if i change my mind one more time.

Procharger is under $5000.

the basic livernois kit is $5700 plus $1200 or so more for the larger turbo, plus now I have to pay someone to fabricate a custom downpipe, plus it seems like nobody has a real answer as to which turbo is right for me so i'm probably gonna hate it anyway.

I don't think I can do it. It's 3am and I'm awake. Does that tell you something? I'm freaking out over here. $5000 i can swing, but if doing all this custom crap is gonna cost me $10000, NO WAY, not worth it.

Once the engine is assembled, that's it. It's either setup for Turbo or not. No turning back. HELP!!!

Take a deap breath. Both the ProCharger and the turbo will make the power you are looking for. Make sure you budget for fuel system upgrades. FWIW, I've had both a ProCharger (D-1SC) and a twin turbo kit. The turbos are quieter, faster, and more reliable.

Good luck,

Mark

Well atleast you'll get some sleep now...=) Or a more serious note, do you honestly think that the F1 will support the power that you need?? If not then I would definitely go with the turbo...Yes it's going to be expensive but if you're not happy then you didn't put the $5k or however much it's going to be for the Procharger to good use...It's an expensive hobby...I'm enduring it to and there seems to be no cure except for more power...Good luck with whichever decision you make...I would love to see some pics after the build if you do go turbo..That would be killer..

$1200 dollars for an bigger turbo, no way the price of a bigger turbo would cost that much unless your going from a T62 to a 91mm thumper
if they are charging that much id buy it without the turbo, then buy my own and have someone fab a downpipe up.

So what changed between post 62 and post 63?? And there's no way a turbo 'upgrade' is 1200 OVER the price of that kit. Something's not right there. Their website shows 5700 with a 76mm turbo. Surely you wont be buying a kit with a turbo, then buying a whole new turbo in addition.

what changed was I spoke to Slowhawk, lol. He always scared the **** out of me.

The PT80 i'm probably going with now is about $1500, the GT4578 is $2700. see? that's the price difference.

The newest plan is their kit with custom pipes all around, GT80, 48mm wastegate, eboost boost controller, and Tial50 bov.

Hahhaaa...ya, I'm sometimes indecisive. My buddy sometimes tells me " stop whining like a bitch with a skinned knee" when I talk about spending $ on advertising and big money decisions like that.

I have 4 of those electric turbos on my truck !!

thats an expensive turbo i think you can get it cheaper then that. for that much it better not only have ball bearings but be able to spool its self.
you shouldnt need to pay over $2000 for the turbo that will suite your needs.
talk to Jose from www.forcedinductions.com and he could spec you a turbo that will cost less then $2k for what you need.

way ahead of you. talked to him first thing this morning. PT80 was his suggestion if i'm planning to use a T4 flange.

Anyone wanna guess what it would cost for parts and labor to make headers, intercooer piping, and downpipe for my truck?

I have prices for everything else.

just a question

would the manifold from the turbo technology t-76 street kit fit a truck?

if the manifold fits with the turbo the crossover and down pipe would be poretty simple to adapt it to a truck.

why not jiust go with a 6.0 flipped manifold set up? with the cross over in front i doing this on my ta pretty simple design very effective.
