what gears you guys running?
what gears you guys running? im still hashing out between procharger and small turbo but while i cant decide im doing supporting mods. im a m6 and i want to keep my abs so im looking at a 12 bolt. should i stay 3.42 or go to 3.73? im looking for around 500 rwhp. im also looking at cams but i guess thats another thread. thanks
I have 3.73's right now..... in a Strange 12 bolt.
Once my car finally hits the track we will see if i need to go with 3.42's or not.......

How much is the combo going to be driven on the street?? If alot then go with the 3.42's...

itll be on the street 99.99% of the time. it just sucks to throw out 2500 for the same gears i got ! lol. i got to imagine its hard to keep tracking with a higher gear ratio though. thanks
if you go with a turbo kit you will want a higher gear like the 3.42
or even a 3.25 or so
it will load the turbo faster and build boost faster giving you more TQ and more useable RPM range
if the engine has to work harder with a turbo it will make more power if the turbo is sized right
or even a 3.25 or so

it sounds crazy but a turbo car needs the engine loaded to make boost faster which means mucho Torque down lower
on my car the max torque was at 3800 RPM on the Dyno but it hits peak boost at around 3400 RPM on the street and peak boost = peak Torque
that is with around 7 PSI boost on the dyno it makes around 8.5 PSI on the street
