Default superchargers

I cant seem to find anything on twin supercharger setups. I am very interested in reading more about the twin FI systems. I know there are some marine engines with dual superchargers. I was just wandering if the manifolds could be used on my truck.

Did you want to run twins in a compound boost application (the 1st feeding the 2nd) or just like 2 regular superchargers?

Wheel2wheel has a twin blower set up that is pretty trick. I saw it at the PRI show.

I've been pondering this same thing lately. Why dont we see any twin supercharged engines ?

There was one on a 3rd gen camaro a couple years ago in GMHTP... Might be able to look it up there...

Parasitic loss from the compressor(s) is why you don't see people doing it for a practical application, though some show cars do it from time to time. With very small compressors, such as the Rotrex, you have to run multiple compressors becuase a single unit doesn't have sufficient airflow for a typical V-8. The Rotrex planetary/viscous drive may be more mechanically efficient than a typical gear driven unit, I really don't know, but you would always be better off from a power standpoint of running a single compressor to make your power.

Its not only for the maxium power, although important. I also like the looks of a twin roots type or centri. type.

My tranny guy had (has?) a 3rd gen with twin Vortechs, made around 700 rwhp. Mostly a show car, although he drove it on the street alot.
