I plan on using my exsisting exhaust, and having it tuned locally. I want this to be a LOW MAINTENCE setup. No more ragged edge, almost blowing it up setups. So I've decided that driving the car is much funner then it being in the garage because of broken parts. Only goal, is for it to run low 10's.
Any suggestions on cam size and type (hydr. or roller), head selection, how much boost to run, etc. or if you think something is either overkill, or worse underkill please let me know. If I'm missing something it would help to point that out. I was up all night researching this list, and already have a few things on order. This is my final build for this car, and I will not change the setup for this car again. Tired of selling new parts, because I changed my mind.
Thanks in advance, Jason

I can go 408 from HPE, just gonna cost more.
*EDIT* Oops, didnt do my homework on the 402. They sound like there crappy motors. So its off the list!

I would go with the HPE
Sometimes you get what you pay for
If the search function works, you can probably do a search for it.
Lastly, don't believe the mags, they're generally full of **** and get paid to write what they write.

No need for a 408 unless your set on a forged crank.
Look at KP's setup.
Your drivetrain looks stought so your good there.
Id stay with a Hydrolic cam also. Look at what KP's doing with a Z06 cam.
Since this short block is gong to be speced out the way you want it go with a set of Dart heads. 62 cc chambers and just off set them with a bigger dish piston.
I havent had the best with PP Heads. I had mine redone and picked up alot of flow.
The price on each are really close to each other.
The fuel system looks fine.
You prob wont need a F1 head unit if you can stop belt slip.
Here again as an example is KP's car.
Shoot him a PM im sure he will help you out.
Most everything looks good.
Id stick with a LS6 intake..... works good enough for most.

I knew this list would get a lot of input. I will check out KP's setup. Maybe my budget is overkill too. If I can avoid spending $15k, and still get a good reliable low 10 supercharged motor, I'm all for it!

Anyhow, I would do a 9:1 370 LS2 blocked car with a small (220-224 @ 114) cam, set of the Dart 225s as cast or just cleaned up a little, LS6 intake, D1SC with an SDCE drive and a FMIC. Get the right converter made and have some fun..
You still have A/C and everything? My old loaded 100% stock SS with a P1SC, chrome Zr1s and a 12 bolt didnt weight 3800 with me in it and I'm 235lbs..
Thanks again to everyone giving me some details on what to do. I don't want a "lab rat" setup....so I will happily steal information from others for my own benefit.
just what i read in GMHTP and from what i've read her people where having good gains aswell.

I have yet to see one dyno graph of a head to head single plane vs LS6 on a 7-800rwhp forced induction car pick up one HP or run any faster in the 1/4 mile with one.
I dont doubt the victor/gmpp could make more power, depends on the combination, but if I thought for one second a 800 dollar intake/elbow/TB (500.00 net after selling my LS6 intake/TB) would pick me up even 20 HP on my car there would be one on there tomorrow
I'm gonna study your setup and make some calls monday.
Car still runs 6.30s in the 1/8 with DOT tires and 93 plus the muffler so thats plenty quick for stoplight races IMO
Thats what I'm doing anyways.
Good luck.
My wife is happy with KP's setup too. I figured it will save me about $2-4k, over what I thought I was going to spend. She can buy more shoes with the savings.
