How would I adjust the cans to be more in sync? ~Joshua

Easy. A Mityvac has a pressure gage on it. Hook the cans up one at a time and if you want them to open at 10 psi...just pump the MV up and watch the actuator...adjust it so it just starts to move at 10psi. Then go to the other side and repeat....works like a charm and you know they are balanced.

That's the whole thing. I don't know how to "adjust" them...

Do you mean having preload on the wastegate? I don't have a boost controller. I just want to run the stock 5 psi (like it used to) but the boost is leveling off at 5 for a split second and then spiking way higher.

Yep, use the adjusting nut on the actuator to add or reduce preload until each actuator rod just starts to move when the MC gage reads 5psi....make sure you start with the rods in a full closed position.

I've had the k-member lowered twice now adjusting everything. The actuators are perfectly set and the vaccum hoses are run nicely. I don't f'ing get it.

The problem is that I don't have a small controllalble 5+ psi airsource for testing, or even shop air. This sucks. I guess I'll have to bum someone's air to get this figured out. Luckily if one's bad, a buddy close by has a pair. $

After you y the lines together are you going to the intake for a source? Mityvac at 5psi? Which controller springs?

It's plumbed in behind the throttle body on the driver's side. One for each actuator (5psi springs) and a third line going to the gauge.

I don't own a mityvac,

The fact that it spikes above 5 # means that the wastegate(s) aren't opening to bypass the extra.

It was running perfect @ 5 psi before I had to take the turbos off. More searching.

I hate not having all the right tools it makes a job very frustrating. I hope you find out what is going on so you can get this baby on the road.

I'm planning on 7-8 psi. Does anyone know where I can get a cheap manual boost controller? Then I'll re-tune for that boost.

Turbosmart makes a good manual controller. For only 8psi I would set the preload at 8 and forget it....one less thing to fool with.

Thanks, that ebay one ($6) looks perfect for the task.

I really need a mityvac for testing. They didn't know what that was when I asked 'em the other day...

Figured I'd revive this one... Any results yet? Also, Firehawk, any luck on the overboosting problem yet?
