Exclamation Which bearing for forced induction?

Hey i was jsut wondering what bearing all you FI guys recommend or ar useing. Im going to go tiwn turbo with a goal of 800 hp and i will be using a lq9 cast iron block with a full forged bottom end. I dont want and weaek links in this engine. also what head gaskets do you all recommend. thanx alot.

Ive always heard good stuff about clevite 77's but i dont know about for forced induction specifically?

Use clevite H series bearings and cometic MLS head gaskets

I wouldn't trust the Cometic gaskets! Too many people have bad luck with them leaking.

if the cometic gasket have problems which after market ones hold up. i want to run 20 psi.

I agree, GM MLS(multi-layer steel) would be plenty strong, make sure you get the ones for 2002 and up.

and with a motor that size you shouldnt need 20psi on a twin turbo to make 800rwhp

Well 20 psi is just an average for right now, GMR made around 740 with there kit on a stock displacement engine at 17 psi, But since mine will have better heads, and its a bit bigger maybe teh 17 psi would get me there, its not specific jsut the highest amount of boost i want to run, sry i should have clarrifed ealier.

yea im gonna vote clevites too, ive always heard good things about these bearings.

ACL has very good bearing as well. I get coated ones from Callico Coatings, also on HG's FelPro MLS are very good or maybe look into a SCE Titan ICS gaskets.
