how about a trade for a 2005 v6 mustang with 45,000 in mint shape and a 2002 hayabusa with bolt ons and 6000 on in it even up !!!!

haha there is no way I would drive a mustang. kinda scared of those busas, they move too fast on two wheels lol.

You could also add a paddle shifter behind the steering wheel which will control a 4L80E with the standard TCI T-Com computer. You still have to move a shift lever from Park to Drive (or OD), but then every forward gear is available through the paddle - upshifts, downshifts can be made at your command and within rules (don't want to be able to downshift to 1st at 100mph, right?) that you can set in the computer.

I might do this or make my own. The magic is in the tranny controller - the shrifter is just a slick set of paddles that are plug n' play.

Go with the auto unless it is something you will regret everytime you drive it. Then it isn't worth it. You have to live with it, not us.

Here is what I am going to do. I already have tex dual setup and I am running the stock trans. It will be on buyed time with my over 750rwhp.

But a t56 with a viper main shaft swap and a tex dual should be good deep into the 9's and to fix the issue of these little autos thinking there the **** at the line and can outshift you on the street. I am going to solve that with a little go go juice (nitrous).

don't think just upgrading the main shaft to a viper spec will make your tranny that tough.. I forsee some problems.. But good luck.

Questions.

On my 2004 GTO Single turbo. I am going from a M6 with dual Tex to a Built TH400 3600stall RMVB transbrake etc. What rear end gear will my car be streetable and still be a badass car at the track, If I am going to build a car I want to be able to win some of the cash there offering at the track.

I drive my car everyday and is a true 100% street car.

I run a 3.70 with a 28" tire which isnt bad unless you want tgo 80 on the highway. Being a turbo you could probably get away with a lower (number) gear like a 3.23 or so but that just takes a little experimenting. Depends on tire size and converter efficiency up top also of course.

This thread is pretty old and played out anyhow so I'm closing it. May want to ask the same question in the drag racing section and list you intended max rpm, tire size, car weight and approx horsepower.
