Question Relocated alternator guys: fuel rail interference?

So have any of you running the relocated stock alternator (e.g. SmokinHawk bracket) had problems with interference from the fuel rail?

My LSX intake and FAST fuel rails won't allow the alternator to fit where it's supposed to on the bracket.

I'd appreciate it if anyone using the SmokinHawk bracket could post up with the type of intake and fuel rail that they are (successfully) using.

Thanks in advance,

Rich

I don't have a bracket? You are probly talking about the Stainless works bracket. It does work but you have to cut back the aftermarket fuel rails.

i run speed inc rails on mine with an ls6 intake, not sure how different the fast ones are.
you have to trim the plastic cover on the back of the alternator.
also you might need different fuel fittings. i use the right angle pipe to hose thread, meaning NO pipe to -AN then a -An to hose.
pic ac1 shows the fuel rails and fittings.

Just to complete this thread: the Smokinhawk bracket with a stock alternator will interfere with FAST fuel rails.

An alternative that works are the CPR rails: http://www.lmperformance.com/5682/43.html
