Kyle, I got the 5/8" stud kit from moser. It comes w/ the spacers and lugs. The 5/8 kit is actually studs, not bolts like the others. You thread the stud into the flange and put a jam nut on the back side.

You should be able to have your axle flanges drilled for the 5/8" stud. You shouldn't need new axles.
So you were just sitting stopped and the wheel popped off? That's pretty wild. I wonder if the studs were way over torqued and they had a lot of strain on them??

i REALLY DONT KNOW...... Joe told me he's sean it before on a few cars.... i guess on 12mm studs over time they do start to bend and once that happens there weak and will break...... Im just glad it happened at a stop.....

The axles is Joe's call since we had already planned to do 5/8 studs on new axles anyways........
Hmmm i wonder who local could drill the axle flanges??? How much were u charge when u did it Craig????

My axles cam with both 1/2" and 5/8" holes offset from each other when I got them. I would think that just about any machine shop could do it.
Scott @ Driveline Solutions can do it for sure, he did mine. They're not far from Stenod, somewhere in the metro detroit area.

Yeah it does....... the reason for new axles is Strange messes up when the axles were sent out to begin with and only 12mm holes were drilled....... so..... whole new 33spline axles with 5/8 studs will be on this one......

Im thinking...... now would be a really good time to change out the gears.....

3.55's or 3.42's.....
Ya gotta find the silver lining in everything.....

you have a powerglide, right? Taht 3.42 will do good.... why not go for a 3.23? It'll hit a little less but spool that turbo out nice and really stretch the gears out.

Well, what gears do you have on their now?

Glad to see you are alright. Would of sucked to get that at 140mph+ and ruin all those "two weeks" of build and mock up time!! So, mental note, 5/8 studs for the camaro... got it!!!
