Stall too high for blower?

Default Stall too high for blower?

I have a 99 Camaro with a forged motor, Vortech T-trim and custom cooler setup. I have a 2004R for a trans with a 4400 Yank PTE-or something like that converter. The cam is a comp R 226/230 569/572 114. I'm thinking this stall speed is too high for my combo. Opinions would be appreciated.

It's more like "what doesn't it do". It has been on jack stands for quite awhile. I don't have any times on the current setup. I would hope to change that before winter gets here.

I'm using an 8" 4200 ATI converter, centrifugal blowers have a similar power curve to an N/A engine. Too many 'blower' converters are made with a roots/positive displacement blower in mind. Just try it and see, never know..

My current TCT 9" converter was going over 4500 on launch. You don't want something too tight but I've also has 'verters that went to 6000 that I had to change.

I have a 4400 stall in my th400 and it flashes to about 4500 or so. No problem thus far and with my Procharger it seems to be spot on what it needs to to keep me where I want to be!
