Default Those who run scavenge pumps

For all you guys that run scavenge pumps do you run a drain line off the turbo directly into the pump? Or do you use some kind of resevoir then a line to the pump. What size line do you use and where would I find one long enough to reach back up to the valve cover?

Excellent. Where did you get that? Where do you have the rest of your line plumbed to?

it was custom made at a local race shop. My line coming out of the pump goes onto a fitting i put into the corner of my passenger side valve cover.

I run it right out of the turbo to the pump. Had considered some sort of reservoir though...

I've got the Incon kit which uses reservoirs, but just re-did it and took them off, now it's a straight line from the turbo.

So I guess resevoirs aren't neccessay but a good idea to have anyway.

What size lines are you guys running? It's gotta be smaller than a conventional drain line.

What is the advantage of a res vs straight to the pump?

My recollections: Incon put resevoirs on their kit to eliminate smoking during the development of the kit. It was later determinined the smoking issue was caused by the drains not being 'clocked' to the proper orientation.

The incon resevoirs caused a major ground clearance issue on the passenger side. I took off my pass side resevoir in 2001.

One argument for having the res was it gives a place for the oil to de-foam. But since the pump is constantly slurping up the return oil the res doesn't seem to matter.
