TTI street kit clearance-minimum should be what?
TTI street kit clearance-minimum should be what? My builder is worried about clearance issues on my TTI street kit on my 02 Z28. Tires are 315 Nittos with 17" rims on back and 285 Nittos and 17" rims on front. My builder says all we have is 5" of clearance. Should I be worried? Any suggestions to increase the clearance?

I am guessing you are talking about the crossover. Get as much clearance as you can. I just tore the header wrap off mine today. I have about 4" clearance. Going to rework it a little and see if I can pick up 1.5" or so.

Dave knows what he it talking about. I am now having to rework my crossover a bit to gain some clearance. I am going to do like RyanK did and put a scrape plate on it. I am also moving my flex joint, since it causes the most reduction in clearance.
I have scraped the wrap on mine. The A4 tucks up a little nicer than the M6 cross over IMO. But ya, if you have rough streets I wouldn't recommend slamming your car anytime soon. I am at stock ride height and as long as I don't go Duke's of Hazard on anything I rarely rarely scrape.

its low but you will be allreight....
if i kept mine i was going to hack the center section out and replace it with some oval to give a lil more..
but ground clearance 5 inch is pretty good...one of the main things i dindt like about the kit..
when i put the iron block in and was on stock spings and skinnies whamm i would hit everthing hwne i was on the street
