How did you hook up with Don, was he just in town? He's a very nice guy, I used to see him at US41 all the time with his buddy Rich.

You don't need to look hard to find the best...just gotta ask the right people...he tunes a local guys outlaw 10.5 car...Jim Monson is his name.

He's also the big stuff 3 tuning support guru.

He's never been within 300 miles of the car either...lol he did it all by looking at old logs and talking to me on the phone while driving it around and getting it to do all the street stuff right...I was impressed best money I've ever spent period.

Im not knockin ur motives but why not get like 3.23ish gears adn only spin the motor to 6500ish and then not need the fancy ****? I know the motor can handle the 8200 or whatever but if u have to get a oil system that is gonan cost 2x what u prolly paid for ur engine that sounds a little crazy. GL though man

John
Cuz it just started to make power real power around 6500...I think I only dropped to like 6500 on shifts...8200 is nothing for a platform that has a good oiling system but the ls1 must not be one of those so it looks like dry sump next time out. My buddy spins his nitrous wet-sump 3.875" stroked dart motor to 9500 on the juice all day. It was only 347 cubes so it has to spin high with those big turbos on it.

PSJ...I don't know if it would have slowed down a lot or stayed the same at lower rpm's because I always shifted it at minimum 7500 and took it to 8k out the back door. Hell, even the oil boys spin their hydraulic roller to 7800-8000 out the back-door they said.
